Slime Balls March 11, 2011 Last night was one of our local camera club meetings. Every month there's a friendly competition with a theme. This month was ''Geometric Shapes'' and I took home second for these 'slime balls.' Really. They are slimey spheres that 'blow up' when put in water. I guess you'd have to really hold them to quite get what I mean, but hopefully the pic will help a little.  Spring School Program March 9, 2011 Last night was the kids' school program. As always, it was adorable! Nataley looked quite nervous at the start trying to find where we were in the audiance, Joshua sang his heart out, and Christopher, man that boy can MOVE! :) Thanks for a great program kids!    Makeover Madness March 5, 2011 The family is feeling better after what feels like ages. After taking such great care of my kids while they were ill, I was treated to a spa day, with a makeover and pedicure from the amazingly talented Nataley. Then Christopher insisted on taking my picture to share with you all. Joshua kindly and quietly let me know that he thought perhaps my makeup was a tad heavy. I dunno... what do you think of this look?  From the Desert March 2, 2011 And finally, photos from the desert section of the botanical conservatory visit from over the weekend. After the showcase gardens and rainforest humidity the desert section always ends up feeling much cooler. When we got to the desert this trip I started getting so tired (turns out I caught Joshua's virus, who also sharred it with Christopher and Nataley this week) that I told the kids to wake me when they were ready to leave ;) No I didn't really fall asleep, but I bet I could have if no one else was nearby!  So I obviously wasn't feeling too creative by the time we got to this section. All my photos look exactly the same, slightly crooked going from lower right corner and up.    More Florals March 1, 2011 These are some more floral pics from the weekends botanical conservatory trip. Here's hoping I'll have little buds here in my own yard here soon! Apparrently they watered everything just before we arrived, so everything had a layer of water droplets.      This fuzzy bloom was up on a tree. It was nearly furry. How weird is that? |
