Nicole's First Session October 30, 2009 Senior Nicole wanted to break her photos up into two seperate sessions, and get some fall shots in now. Being outside taking photos every day I'm shocked at seeing how quickly the leaves are vanishing. I think after Saturday's session I will officially be out of color. It was fun while it lasted! ![]() ![]() Curtis Take Two October 29, 2009 Curtis had half a session earlier this fall. Unfortunately we ran out of light way too quickly and booked a second session for last night for more outdoor photos. I love railroad shots, so there was no arguement from me when Curtis wanted to do some. It took every single light in town to make it through to the other side for the 'right' section of tracks, but oh so worth it for some fabulous shots. It was just one of the moment where the lighting was delicious and the trees were at their most colorful. ![]() Two more senior sessions this week! I only have two ''super busy'' weeks left before things begin to calm down with Holiday pictures. I'm a little sad :( I would love for senior season to last year round, but I know it doesn't. On a happy note, I officially quadruppled the number of seniors I've done this year versus last year (I had hoped to tripple, so, horray!) Senior Pics with Victoria October 28, 2009 I've known Victoria for a few years now and was so excited last night to finally have our first half of senior pics (after a half bazillion reschedules due to health and silly little college things, ha ha ha). Last night was all about outdoor photos to take advantage of the last few leaves. Wouldn't you know it, Victoria came in... with an umbrella. Well a few sprinkles wouldn't stop me. As it turns out a downpour didn't stop us either. It appeared that every time I hit my shutter it opened the skies for more and more rain to come down. Victoria was a great sport though and we had a blast despite the dampness.
So a little update on the P90X thing. I figure I need to keep posting to keep myself going forward. I wasn't as dedicated this past week... but I DID do the exercises. The diet thing to go with it... not as great. I'll admit it, I craved carbs and sugar. While the sugar I was strong against, I had chips. Ugh. I wish I didn't. But its over, and time to move on. Today officially starts week 3 for me - core synergenics. It could be both my favorite and most detested workout. I have noticed major differences in my body. My stomach is flat - though not hard at all (yet). My arms are extremely tone - the most I've had my entire life. Even the back super flabby part (you know what I mean ladies!) is getting hard! I'm thrilled. My backside is showing a very big... or rather noticable improvement. I'm more flexible than ever before as well. I really need to buy a scale as I have no clue what my weight it and I'm not sure it matters. I've lost inches around my waist and hips though, so that makes me happy!!! So, so far, I guess good. I could have been better, but I'm gonna keep trying. Just a fun shot October 27, 2009
Here is a highly edited silhouette from last nights cheer session. They Van Wert All Stars colors are black, white, and hot pink. Their spankies (panty covers) are zebra stripes - how fun! So I couldn't resist adding a bit more pizzazz to this shot. Three kids home sick today. I kept wondering if I just jumped the gun and was too overly cautious by keeping them home with such mild temps (and complaint of tummy aches and coughing). However at this moment three of the three are napping, so perhaps they really are sick. I don't know. Still hoping for them to go to school tomorrow so I can get more work done. It's my busiest week to date. :) Sassy Silhouettes October 26, 2009 I had senior gal who was injured during her photo session - so fun posing was out of the question. Now since she's back to 100% I had her grab some friends and head out for silhouettes.
Chloe's Pics October 23rd, 2009 I was so happy to get a call recently from Miss Chloe's mom to schedule her senior session. I hadn't met Chloe before, but I think I'm facebook buddies with half the senior class of VWHS so I often sort of feel like I already know them. Chloe came with the absolutely perfect wardrobe for a fall session and she not only coordinated for the outdoor shots, but nearly matched certain trees. It made for beautiful shots and I can't wait for her to see them all next week. Here's your sneak peek though Chloe!!!
Pink Skies in Morning... October 22nd, 2009 It made for a stunning sundrise today, but it can only mean rain to come, right? Well I don't know how technically correct the old kids poem is, but when the kids saw the glorious sunrise they insisted I grab the camera. By the time I did, less then a minute, the grandure faded quite a bit. Here's the view from the back door though as we headed out to school.
Another Nice Day October 20th, 2009 For perhaps the last glorious day of the fall I thought another hiking trip for the kids and I would be in order. After Christopher thought he saw a tick and shriek from a distance of about 4 yards (phantom bug) it turned to mass hysteria with all three kids in tears by the end of the trip due to scary falling leaves and those terrifying squirrels hiding their nuts. There may have also been a thistle Nataley stuck her head in to. But on the happy part was discovering hanging mirrors on one path - there for a halloween event.
How cool is that? I think I'm going to have to play with this again some time with a senior. :) As per your request... October 20th, 2009 It'd be hard to have more fun over the weekend then I did with Alana on Saturday evening. She was truly a girl after my own heart - as in all in for silly and spunky. She even asked to wear a tutu, and then couldn't wait to see a proof of a tutu shot. Here you go girl!!! Enjoy!!! ![]() But as much fun as Alana is, I must say it turned into a spectacular few days with my family afterwards. Sunday morning I taught Sunday school - as some loyal blog readers knew I taught prek for years and, thank goodness, have moved up now. I am LOVING the 2nd & 3rd grade class!!! After church the kids and I were brought to a woods in the middle of Fort Wayne for some hiking. It was gorgeous. I so want to go back there for pictures. I didn't want to be lugging my camera bag through the woods, not knowing if any kids would be complaining and if anyone would end up being carried or on my shoulders. The kids LOVED it though, so there's a chance I may be showing off pics tomorrow night of the beauty if we take advantage of the weather tomorrow and go one last time this year. Monday night was Kernel Coopers. We've never done the corn maze thing before. The kids would not have lasted a year ago - especially Nataley (we would have lost her big time, she's just now becoming a listener). The kids, and us parents too, again had a lovely time. Unfortunately, Nataley then spent the night barking this horrid cough to the point she was so miserable she was praying, ''Dear Jesus, please take this cough away'' with tears rolling down her cheeks. :( I didn't do much of an attept to wake her for school. It took just a nudge and for me to hear the cough again thismorning to call her in. You can imagine how little I got done today - but I did get lots of cuddles in with her. But then as quickly as it came, it left, and by afternoon she was 100%. Go figure. I must say, I'm excited to have the house to myself tomorrow and get things done!!! Sweet Boy and Sassy Senior October 17th, 2009 I'm having internet issues tonight, so I can't really say if this will be uploaded tonight or not. Or perhaps its not even internet issues - could just be facebook. I suddenly have ZERO friends and no photo albums. So lets hope my clients today check the blog for sneak peeks as the sneak peeks may not be coming to facebook afterall! ![]() This little guy was so fun! He's six months, which is my FAVORITE age to photograph. All smiles and oh so happy! ![]() Coming in a close second is my love of seniors - especially this gal. She is so much fun that I've been looking forward to her session since it was booked! Fall in Ohio + Day Five October 16th, 2009 Today I have a sinus thing going on and was cold, and so wanted to use it as an excuse to not do the P90X program today. But I know myself very well... and if I postpone one day, that could easily turn into a dozen, and then not doing it all together. Next thing ya know, I'd be back on Mt Dew and out of shape... again. So I did it. Kenpo today. I thought it'd be a blast... and it is. I'm a huge Rocky and Charlie's Angel type fan, loving all that kicking butt and taking names. However it was more icky then I expected. I hate sweating, and while I've been doing that a lot this week, not as much as tonight!!! I finally backed off when my heart rate was 168 - the highest yet. But hey, I did it, and for a week it's over. Tommorrow I have three sessions schedule and will have tons of shares over the next few days. Today however I went out and took shots of ''Crop''s - the secret ingrediant to a photo shootout I sometimes take part in. Here's some I came up with. ![]() This shot is my first entry. Not sure what my second will be. ![]() ![]() A Popcorn field ![]() Isn't this just the typical country scene for this time of year in Northwest Ohio? Day Four October 15th, 2009 Today was a beautiful day! Yes, rainy and cold, but I love rainy weather.
I went to walmart and then to volunteer at school. My plan was to come home and do day four of P90X afterwards before the kids got home, but was glued to my television instead watching the saga unfold of the UFO and missing boy in Colorado. I'll tell ya, I prayed and prayed as I watched the balloon zoom through the air. I cried tears of joy when I saw how it came to a soft, suttle landing. Then was absolutely sickened when I saw the video of the basket falling off from early on in the flight. :( I was at Mc Donald's with the kiddos when I got a call that he was OK and found hiding at the family home. I feel bad that the boy was yelled at so badly that he felt like he should go hide, but so proud of his dad FOR yelling at his son when he had gotten in the balloon earlier in the day. Makes me look around the house to see what might be more dangerous then I imagine it is. Luckily the kids were fine letting me excercise after homework was done and I got to do arms, legs, and ab ripper. Ab ripper was insane. Seriously. The people who do that are absolutely crazy. Ok, yeah, so I'm one of them now, lol. |
