Introducing Frederick April 19, 2011

We are all very pleased to introduce you to Frederick Rascal Hattery, a little itty bitty bunny that was adopted in to our home this week. It was so much fun surprising them after school Monday with this new pet that the boys very much had wanted.

I was a little bit ornery. I told the boys after school that Daddy and I had decided not to buy them a bunny for Easter, like they had been hoping. After all, Easter has absoulutely nothing to do with bunnies (or in our home it doesn't) it has to do with the resurection of Christ and our ability to receive salvation through His sacrifice. Giving a bunny for Easter really goes against my anti-commercialism stance.

They understood, but Christopher, who wanted the bunny much more than anyone else, was instantly teary eyed. He was equally teary eyed when he found out he got the bunny he wanted - just not as an Easter present :) Oh yea, we're sneaky that way.

Frederick is an indoor bunny with lots of toys already. Nataley and I are going to go shopping for more goodies soon, I'm sure. We are working on litter box training, and I honestly can't tell how well that's going. There's by far more poopies in the litter box then elsewhere in his hutch, so that's a good thing, right?

I was a bit concerned with Frankalina, our beloved cat, and how the two pets would interact. You can see here Frederick was a bit concerned at first too. However they LOVE each other. Seriously, so much so I'm shocked. Frankalina just LOVES her new play thing... err.... I mean friend. She gets on her back, belly up, a very submissive pose, and waits for Frederick to come play with her. She'll chase him, he'll hop over her, he chases her... it's hilareous! I didn't realize Frankalina had a life of such boredom until we brought Frederick home!

I'm sure many more pics of Frederick are to come. He'll be getting a leash soon so I'm sure he'll love going outside this summer - especially with the dark lettuces and carrot tops in the garden :)

Goodies April 17, 2011

We got more goodies in the mail late last week and the 'twins' were decked out for church thismorning with new accessories. Shockingly, I had to take some pics of the cuteness.

Joshua looked like he was hot stuff in his rockin' tie and matching arm warmers.

Nataley had a new skirt to wear to match her Jailhouse Chic leg warmers and new headband. I think she liked it... what'dya think?

Just Some Fun April 14, 2011

Was playing outside, of course, enjoying this gorgeous weather. Christopher picked up the camera and took some shots of Joshua and I together. They were over exposed and out of focus, but I JUST LOVE THEM! Look how happy he is goofing off with his momma!!! This motherhood thing is definately the best gig ever! So I'll do what I see soooo many 'pro' photogs doing with their poorly exposed images and just change them to black and white and share anyway ;)
