The Boys Are Back
June 28, 2010
YEAH! My family is all home. Nataley and I had a marvelous time just the two of us while the three boys were away at a father/son sleep away camp many miles away. I love my husband, and trust him, but such a long trip and my boys being away from mommy just makes me nervous. What if this, What if that? I just like being home, with my family. And so happy they're all home.

Here they are in their camp shirts. I said I wanted a pic. This is what I got with 7 frames. Too ornery to get a 'real' pic of them. Nataley had set up a scavenger hunt and filled their room with balloons. She missed her boys as much as I did. :)

While we waited for the boys to get hom, Nataley played in the pouring down rain and I worked in the garden. We finally have enough of a harvest for lots of green beans for dinner, and oodles of fresh veggies to cut up for snack time. I had a picture of the massive cucombers too... but everytime I take a cucomber pic, it just looks naughty and not blog appropriate.

Each child gets to claim a particular plant in the garden. Nataley does green peppers, Chris does cucombers, and Josh did this years beans. Last year Josh did sunflowers, and sure enough some seeds fell and more bloomed this year (despite this being the herb section) The sun flowers are in full bloom and look just marvelous.

Tea for Ten!?
June 27, 2010
Well you know what they say... Another day, another tea party! And today Nataley worked meticulously on setting up a tea party, complete with freshly painted cupcakes and ice cream cones. She's quite the hostess and even made sure each doll had her hair freshly done with pretty clips and bands. I also took a couple pics of the latest addition to her ''happiest room on earth'' bedroom - a painted tree with real (abandoned) birds nests and some faux birds.

A Night At The Ballpark
June 26, 2010
The boys are away at camp, but here's some recent baseball pics. Not thrilled over the harsh light, but I can't exactly ask them to delay the game until the sun goes behind the trees for me :) And I think pulling out a massive flash system would be a bit much as well :) I particularly enjoy this first shot of my Josh with Coach Daddy.

Tea for Two
June 25, 2010
Well I just loved the sweetness of the tea party pics from earlier in the week and had to do a copy cat session with Nataley and Dahlia, her doll.
This location would only be good super early in the morning (as in before I like to be awake) and later in the evening. These pics were done just after sunset in that gorgeous evening light. If it wasn't for the thirty minutes of the day that light is lovely here, I'd love to use this field much more over the summer. I fear that next year the owners of this field might just be planting a crop. I think last year this field was beans.

I know I've been on photo overload with Nat recently. The boys are away at camp. I bought them a camera, so hopefully they'll let me post pics when they return home. If not I may just have to do a boy only photo session with my own boys :)
Tea for Three
June 21, 2010
Etta is a lovely little girl I've been fortunate to get my camera on a number of times. After her whimsy session last month, she (or perhaps the grown ups) decided to bring her two older cousins with her for a tea party today!
